For its last concert of the season on Lancaster New Sounds, NakedEye takes on the cathedral-like acoustics of The Trust Performing Arts Center and presents two commission premieres specifically written for the venue by Jason Charney ("Ausbund") and Rusty Banks. As an added tribute to the locale he is writing for, Baltimore-based Charney uses a network of tiles in the written score inspired by the tessellated roof of the Trust and the quilts that once inhabited the space when it was home to the Lancaster Quilt and Textile Museum. NakedEye also performs work by David Lang, Arvo Pärt, Missy Mazzoli, and Gleb Kanasevich.
The program will be played without intermission and lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Reception to follow at 522 West Chestnut Street. All are welcome!
